Our vision is to be the leading supplier of nutritional ingredients and food products. This includes recognising that our activities affect the environment and committing to minimising adverse impacts across the business.

Giving back to the community is hugely important to us. We hold regular staff events including bake sales, food bank donations, fancy dress, triathlons and sky dives to raise money for local, national and international charities. Below are some of the ways we have supported charitable causes close to our hearts:

Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) is the only registered charity (no 1048868) dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care across Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. ACT was our Charity of the Year in 2015. We supported them by running their annual Rudolph 5k round the hospital, competing against local businesses in the Dragon Boat race, and holding a 'Bake Off' to raise money for their breast cancer ward.

We aim to comply with all current and future environmental legislation, prevent pollution, and involve employees and contractors in our environmental programmes.

We are proud of achieving 0% waste to landfill at our UK site. We recycle:

  • Paper
  • Plastics
  • Cardboard
  • Ink cartridges

Additionally, all suitable kitchen and product waste is sent for anaerobic digestion to be recycled into energy.

We incorporate appropriate environmental factors into business decisions, such as our UK headquarters:

  • Solar panels supply 50% of the annual energy requirements saving an estimated 55,370kgs of CO2 emissions annually
  • A combination of natural and sensor-activated lighting in the warehouse reduces energy usage
  • Energy-saving LED lighting throughout the building
  • We are working towards a paperless office
